On May 17, French rider Valentin Debise of Chinese motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO claimed victory in the second race of the WorldSSP category at the 2026 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) Czech Round, completing a weekend double. With this result, Debise moved up to second in the riders’ standings with 147 points, while ZXMOTO remained third in the manufacturers’ standings with 149 points.
In the second race, Debise faced a strong challenge from Turkish rider Can Öncü of the Yamaha team, with the duo repeatedly swapping the lead. Debise ultimately made a decisive overtake on the final lap to take the checkered flag, while Öncü finished runner-up once again. “Öncü was very strong today and put me under a lot of pressure. I had to constantly come up with new ways to overtake him,” Debise said after the race. “On the last lap, I decided to attack in a place where I hadn’t tried before, and I saw that he didn’t expect me to do it there.” The sixth round of the 2026 WorldSBK season will take place from May 29 to 31 at MotorLand Aragón in Spain.
